The department of English has the same year of inception as Arts, Commerce, Science And computer science College Ashvi Kd. in 2001. The Department offers 3 years Under-Graduate program. The department provides intensive mentoring to the students both in and beyond the classroom in a wide variety of forum. As a part of it, the department has ‘FILM CLUB’ with the aim to entertain students and relieve them from routine activities. Online lectures, film screening, seminar, workshop on interdisciplinary themes are the part our academic calendar. The department has the Language Laboratory with audio-visual aids.

Aims and Objectives

• To develop the communicative skills of the students and thereby develop their proficiency in English language.
• To acquaint the students with the different modes of Communication in the context of modern life.
• To impress upon their minds the importance and value of Communication in personality development and career prospects.
• To enhance their employment opportunities in communication based careers.

The Department of Geography is one of the important departments in Arts, Commerce and Science College Satral. Geography of the undergraduate level was given affiliation by the government in 2001. While the Department of Geography is establish in the year 2001-2002. The first batch of the under graduate was passed out in 2004. The department of Geography is always engaged in research activities i.e. seminars, conferences and research publications in various reputed journals in geography and social sciences. The department is having the essential infrastructure facilities like laboratory, Department staff room teaching aids like Maps, Models and Surveying instrument etc.

The department of Hindi established in 2001. The Department offers 3 years Under-Graduate program. It also offers general subjects to FYB.Com.

The Department of History was started in the year 1999. The department has maintained tradition of high standard quality in academic performance. The department tries to make class-room teaching more student oriented through group discussion and seminars. The Department has a separate Departmental library with 100 books and 03 research journals.
