About Us
Pravara High School, Kolhar is a distinguished institution committed to nurturing excellence, character, and lifelong learning. Established in 1976, the school was founded through the visionary leadership of Padmabhushan Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil—an eminent farmers' leader, celebrated parliamentarian, and former Union Cabinet Minister—whose dream was to provide quality education that transforms lives. From its humble beginning with just 4 teachers and 22 students, the school has evolved into one of the region's most respected educational institutions, serving learners from Pre-Primary to Grade X.
In 2019, the school adopted the CBSE curriculum, further strengthening its commitment to academic excellence and 21st-century learning while proudly maintaining an exceptional 100% board examination result for the past 19 years.
Under the visionary guidance of Hon. Shri Radhakrushna Vikhe Patil, Chairman, PRES, and the dynamic leadership of Hon. Mrs. Susmita Vikhe Patil, CEO, PRES, the school continues to set new benchmarks in education and has established its presence on the global stage.
Today, with 890 students, 44 dedicated educators, and a proud alumni network of over 1,500, Pravara High School offers a vibrant learning ecosystem enriched with state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories, smart classrooms, a well-stocked library of over 4,000 books, Wi-Fi-enabled digital infrastructure, dedicated football and basketball facilities, six school buses, and a rich calendar of sports, arts, value education, and co-curricular programmes. Blending a rich legacy with innovation, the school empowers every learner to become a confident, compassionate, and responsible global citizen.
