Code Of Conduct For Student

Every student is required to observe the student’s code of conduct.
  • Every student MUST carry the students’ Handbook to the school on all days.
  • Every day the students must reach the school at least five minutes before scheduled assembly time.
  • Late comers will be penalised. No boarder will leave the school campus without the prior permission of the Housemaster, Principal or Director.
  • Shouting or whistling, throwing bits of paper, chalk etc. at others or teasing fellow students in any manner is strictly forbidden.
  • Any damage done to school property should be brought to the notice of the Class Teacher, Housemaster, Principal or Director. The offenders will pay the fine/ replace the damaged items.
  • Books other than text books, reference books or library books and magazines, brought to the School without permission are liable to be confiscated.
  • Lending or borrowing money and other articles are not permitted.
  • Students are not expected to carry or keep cash exceeding RS.100 with them. Ornaments Wrist watch, electronic equipment and costly items including mobile are not permitted in the school campus or hostel.
  • Parents are not allowed to meet the teachers in the class room or in the staff room. In case there is a requirement to meet teacher, it should done in the office of HM/ Principal.
  • Students are not allowed to ride bikes or drive any vehicles in the School.
  • The students must wear neat and tidy School uniform and polished shoes. Students will be penalized if they do not wear proper uniform.
  • Students shall obey Prefects and class monitors.
  • Whenever parents of Boarders come to School, they must meet the Housemaster. If need be, they are welcome to meet the Vice-Principal/Headmaster/Director.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the School during working hours.
  • Parents are requested not to phone their wards after 10 pm in the hostel.
  • The School reserves the right to take disciplinary action against any student for improper conduct. A student whose conduct is not satisfactory is liable to be expelled from the School without assigning any specific reason. Parents of Boarders may visit the School only on the Visitors’ Day given in the School calendar. On Open day, they are requested to meet the teacher in the class rooms and discuss their ward’s progress.
  • All parents are requested to co- operate with the School in maintaining proper educational environment.
  • Pocket money should be deposited in the bank or kept with Housemaster.
  • Playing inside the dormitory is not permitted as it can cause damage.
  • Students should be punctual and regular in attending classes, tutorials and preps. Students are not allowed to bring eatables to house and organize parties.
  • Students who are ill must report to the Doctor at Infirmary and shall not resort to self-medication at any time.
  • Borrowing each other’s shoes, clothes or any other item is not permitted. If any unfamiliar person tries to contact students, they should immediately report the matter to the housemaster/ higher authority.
  • While taking students home, if parents are not able to escort them, they should send authorization letter along with the accompanying person and also communicate on telephone to the Housemaster.
  • On Visitors day, parents should report at the security office on arrival and departure and it should be ensured that they leave the School only after meeting the housemaster / warden/ matron.
  • Parents / Visitors are not allowed to enter in the dormitories.
  • Leave will not be granted for more than two days, except in the case of emergency such as illness, that too with written permission of the Vice Principal/Headmaster/Principal/ Director.
  • In case of Sickness sick report form duly signed by the Housemaster will be filled before going to sick room From the Class permission of class teacher will be taken.

House Allocation Policy

Students are made to stay in dormitories for the convenience and personal attention. Dormitories are called Houses. Each house is named after outstanding personalities from different fields.

Policy On Bullying

Measures to enforce Discipline. Bullying will not be tolerated and will be firmly dealt with. In case any student is found indulging in violence against his classmate or any other student, he will be rusticated from the school for a period of 7 days at the first instance and will be removed from the school if he repeats the offence.

In case the incident is causing grievous injury, proper legal procedure under the Anti Ragging Act will be followed and the student will be removed from the school without notice. Those involved in moral turpitude, will be instantly removed from the school. We are committed to providing a tension free atmosphere in the school. Parents are required to come to school immediately, if called by the school in connection with discipline cases.

Rules For Boarders

The Rules and Regulations for the HOSTELLERS are listed below:
  • Daily Routine will be strictly followed as per aid down timings. Wardens & matrons will ensure that the students get ready in time and leave for PT/ Games / Classes.
  • Roll call Parade is meant for checking the attendance, general turnout as well as passage of orders and instructions by the House Masters.
  • Wardens will accompany Hostellers for PT, Games, Mess and Prep. No hosteller is permitted to visit the hostel during working hours. The wardens will ensure that the main entrance is locked once house cleaning is over in the morning.
  • Hostellers will not move out of the school premises without permission. Crossing over the boundary wall entering sugarcane fields, orchards or market is strictly prohibited. Those breaking this rule will be themselves held responsible or any untoward happening.
  • Visiting staff quarters is strictly forbidden for students.
  • Betting, gambling, playing cards, smoking, consumption of drugs alcohol/ carrying or possessing dangerous objects is strictly forbidden and offender will make himself liable for an exemplary punishment including rustication.
  • Bullying or Ragging is forbidden and any violation in this regard will made the offender liable for rustication.
  • Use of mobile phones is not allowed in the school premises.
  • If students have any suggestion to offer they can communicate to the House Master, Class Teacher, Headmaster or the Director.
  • The Prefects should play their role effectively in ensuring discipline and well-being of junior students. Prefects and wardens must bring to the notice of authorities any infringement of rules.
  • There will be Buddy system in the hostel and the Buddy will keep his colleague under, watch for any unusual behavior (especially of emotional nature) Buddies will be together at all events including sports and swimming.
  • Buddy will have full knowledge of each other’s family background and they should assist each other in studies as well as in maintaining discipline.
  • No quarrels, altercation, use of abusive language or fighting will tolerated.
  • In order to develop the interest of students in other activities, the school organizes hobbies through club systems. The students are allowed to choose any of the following clubs to develop their interest. The school has outdoor sports facilities as well as indoor games like table tennis, badminton, swimming etc .for fitness and recreation.

Safety Measures

The following safety measure will be ensured by the School Administration.

  • Mesh wire must be provided to all windows and ventilators.
  • Provision of clean and healthy drinking water
  • Fire extinguishers at least one per floor.
  • Campus should be free or stray dogs
  • Immediate replacements of damaged electric switches
  • Periodic checking for knives and other sharp dangerous objects instruments / weapons
  • Surprise roll call at odd times.
  • Timely replacement of old cots (sharp- edges)
  • Provision of Emergency lamps in mess, hostels.
  • Checking of trunks, bags for perished or over dated food stuff (Spoilt) to avoid food poisoning.
  • Ensuring nonskid flooring in bath area
  • Discourage self-medication.
  • Well supervised sports Activities.
  • Frequent communication with parents on telephone and on Parents Days.
Safety In Hostel Building
  • Emergency exit- drills in case of earthquakes, fire etc. to be known / rehearsed once every term and
  • Security (Visitor’s registers to be maintained at the gate)
  • No unauthorized entry permitted in the campus.
  • Ensuring non- slippery steps / stairs.
  • Undertaking from parents & students about maintenance of discipline.
  • Periodic training workshops and trainings for Safety / first Aid for Students & Staff.
  • Regular medical check –up.
  • Implement Buddy system in Hostel / class as well as for outdoor trips.
  • Provide Separate wardrobe / warden / cupboard for every boarder.
  • Closer watch by housemaster / warden/ matron for any unusual / disturbed behaviors sof students.
  • Hostel supervisory staff like warden/ matron should stay in the hostel throughout the day.
  • Adequate lighting in verandas and corridors.
  • Frequent cleaning of bathroom and wash area
  • CCTV cameras in and outside the senior Hostel.
  • Cricket and Hockey grounds should not be used for other games simultaneously – Avoid crowding in sports arenas.
  • Avoid taking children to sea shore and water bodies during educational tours.and maintain control over their movement in hilly areas and traffic while crossing roads.
  • Erecting compound wall and security fencing around the campus and security staff at the gate must control road traffic while students move from hostel to Mess / Classes in absence of an over bridge / fly over at the main gate.
  • Boarders should not be left unsupervised anywhere
  • After school hours, the buses should be parked near PPS Staff Quarters. Two buses will be parked near swimming pool to carry LKG & UKG students to PPS Staff Quarters.
  • Hostel doors will remain closed during school hours.
  • A Standing duty vehicle will always be available for the students being referred to Pravara Medical Trust.

Parents Worries/FAQS

The school has been giving regular coaching PRES will engage outside agency for the same from next academic session.

DD can be drawn in the name of ‘Pravara Public School’ from Union Bank of India, State Bank of India and Central Bank of India, Loni Branch.

Regular remedial classes are organized in the morning and afternoon outside the school schedule.

We have already fitted steel cupboards. Jaron cots are gradually replaced by cots fitted with plywood planks.

Emergency Handling Procedure

A Standing duty vehicle will always be available for the students being referred to Pravara Medical Trust.
