About Department

The Department of Automobile Engineering was established in the year 2007 to meet the growing demand for professionals in the automotive industry. The growth of any country mainly depends on transportation of the passengers as well as Goods. We need vehicle to speed up and fulfill our day to day requirements. Different kinds of vehicle come into existence to meet these requirements. To keep all these vehicle in good condition, to modify, design and maintain them according to the changing needs of society automobile engineer is needed. Manufacturing of automotive vehicle and stationery engines, Servicing, Transport organizations and research organization need people to bring out the solution for changing needs of the society.

The course includes 3 years diploma in Automobile Engineering .The automobile industry in India has witnessed a rapid growth over the last couple of decades and in recent years it has also captured the attention of the whole world with some innovative products. It includes manufacturing of scooters, bikes, cars, passenger cars, trucks, tractors, buses & defense vehicles.

The Department is well equipped with Laboratories, well qualified and experience staff. The department regularly arrange seminars, workshops from industries expert and our department alumina for student as well as faculty and also organize industrial visit for the students. The track record of the result is also excellent. The department also plays a very important role in mobilization of students Participation by conducting various competitions, seminars and Workshops.

Many Automobile organization like Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto ltd , Bosch Chassis System, Sigma Electrical, Fiat Automobile John deere , Eton, Jaya Hind, Sharada Motors, etc. conduct Campus Interview for final year student in Pravara polytechnic Loni.

    On successful completion of this program:

  1. Student can work in National & multinational companies.
  2. In Government sector like MSRTC & RTO.
  3. In various insurance companies as Vehicle surveyor cum loss accessor.
  4. Can be entrepreneur in vehicle Dealership/ Service station or Automobile consultancy.
  5. Students May take higher education.

Program Outcome:

After completion of Diploma, Automobile Engineers will be able to:

  • PO1: Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
  • PO2: Problem analysis: Identify and analyze well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  • PO3: Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  • PO4: Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • PO5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • PO6:Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
  • PO7: Life-long learning: Ability to analyze individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
