About Department

The department of Chemical Engineering was established in 1989 with an intake capacity of 60. The department is affiliated to AICTE, New Delhi and Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. Chemical Department has a well-qualified and experienced faculty with supporting staff. The department believes in continuous up gradation of the knowledge of the faculty and has been sponsoring the faculty for the post-graduation and PhD. Every year faculty development program is conducted by department.

Chemical department has eight state of the art laboratories with all necessary equipment’s required as per curriculum. The department has adequate number of computers with latest configuration and internet facilities. In addition to this the department has its own library and virtual laboratory facilities.

The department has a good track record of academic results. The students of the program has been recruited in the top renowned chemical industries like Cipla Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Gharda Chemicals, Alkyl amines, Aarti Industries etc. The department motivates the students to participate in various national/State/Regional events such as Project Exhibition, Paper Presentation, Model Making and Sports Competitions. Mentoring of students is effectively carried out in department. Our esteemed alumni are working at top position in various national and multinational companies in India and Abroad. Since inception more than 150 alumni of department are successful entrepreneurs. Every year Alumni meet is conducted.

The department has good Industry-Institute interaction. It has signed MoUs with various industries for mutual benefit. Various Alumni and experts from the industry are invited for an expert lectures. Industrial visits are organized every year regularly. The department organizes in plant training for all second year students in various Chemical Industries. The Chemical Engineering program received excellent grade for academic performance from MSBTE, Mumbai.

Program Outcome:

After completion of Diploma, Chemical Engineers will be able to:
