About

Mechanical department at the Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Institute of Technology & Engineering Polytechnic, Loni is as versatile as the branch itself. As many as 80% of our students get placed and the innumerable awards we have won speaks volumes of our work ethic.

Starting from 60 students and 4 teachers in 1996, we have launched ourselves to 360 students (two shifts) and 13 teachers in 2018-19. A staggering 284 students have been placed through campus recruitments over the past 5 years including the 34 placed in the present year.

To build up the rural students as a technologist in the Mechanical Engineering relevant to the needs of society and industry.

To empower the students to meet industrial needs.
To build up personality and thinking ability in students.
To provide the best facility, infrastructure and environment for the students and faculty members, creating an ambience conducive to excellence in Mechanical Engineering education.
To impart quality education to inculcate moral values, professional ethics and Entrepreneurial qualities.

Goal

The goals of the Mechanical Engineering Department are to provide the opportunity for students to develop:
To maintain a high standard of mechanical engineering education through outstanding teaching, innovative curricula.
To attract highly motivated students with enthusiasm, aptitude and interest in mechanical engineering.
To develop and maintain a strong academic staff base for optimum departmental performance.
To strengthen and expand collaboration and partnerships with industry and other organization.
To establish a culture of hard work, good governance in leadership and management of the department.
To improve, develop and establish teaching and research programs in line with country’s industrialization needs.
