About

Master of Business Administration (MBA) department at the Sir Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (SVIT) was established in 2008. At present, we have 60 students in MBA first year and 47 in the second.

Right from the inception, our focus has been to achieve a seamless transition from academic to professional life. Precisely why Seminars, Workshops, Conferences and Training Programs are integrated in our very fabric. That apart, our Mentoring Program cultivates excellent student-teacher relations for vivid, healthy communication.

With a view to expose students to real-world developments in industry, the department organizes expert lectures, on-job training programs in Retail Management and Stock Market Analysis, and industrial visits to organizations such as Bombay Stock Exchange, Crompton Greaves, Godrej, Parle Biscuits, and VIP.

“Creative Association of Management Students (CAMS)” was set up in 2008-09 and has coordinated various extra-curricular and co-curricular activities such as Fresher’s Welcome, Teacher’s Day, Management Day, and Farewell Function with active student participation. It also organized Bizz-Ana, the immensely successful intercollegiate cultural and management event.

SVIT's M.B.A. department is moving with poise and purpose, featured with an abundance of vigor and vitality, competence and confidence, in spite of the distinct individual traits.

The placement cell stands out as the most important element of the Department providing the most sought after opportunities. The placement committee comprises of faculty and students with Head of the Department as the Chairman and one faculty member as the Placement Officer. The objectives of the placement cell include helping students to plan their future career, maintaining liaison with prospective employers, preparing students for interviews, and getting placements in Corporate sector.

I welcome you to the SVIT, MBA which is established in 2008. It is an addition to the galaxy of education endeavours of �Pravara� to provide high-tech, practical management education to the students coming from different backgrounds. It is founded by Late Padmashree Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil with a mission of development & growth of rural masses.

M.B.A. Centre is housed in spacious building consisting of well-lit and well-ventilated class-rooms, tutorial rooms and a Conference hall. They are well equipped with modern audio-visual aids. We organise various management development programmes, Seminars, Workshops, Conferences as well as Training Programs for our students. To enhance the teaching-learning process, a guest lecture by experts from corporate world is organized to bridge the gap between theory and industry. Every year our students are undergoing on the job training programmes on subjects like Retail Management, Share Market Analysis etc. In addition to this, Industrial visits to renowned organizations like Bombay Stock Exchange, Crompton Greaves, Godrej, Parle Biscuits & VIP etc. are organised frequently to give practical exposure of various industries to students.

Our institute has got a separate dedicated Training & Placement cell which takes all round efforts in providing employment opportunities and industry mentored projects to all the students. Our students got placed in reputed organizations like ABB Ltd, Axis Bank, Accenture, Aegon Religare, Birla Global, Bajaj Allianz, ETON, Gateway Hotel, HDFC Bank, Hindustan National Glass, ICICI Bank, Parle Biscuits, LIC, Shopper�s Stop and T.C.S etc.
