Department of Dairy Science
A scheme of restructured course at undergraduate levels is implemented since 1986-87 Padmashri Vikhe Patil College by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Under this scheme Dairy Science department started ‘C‘ Component as an applied course and ‘D’ Component as an vocational and skill oriented courses.
Faculty has attended national seminars and provides consultancy services to farmers in the field of Animal Husbandry. Library facility is available for the students in the department with 100 books with five periodicals. The Department is well equipped with instruments like Milk Pasteurizer, Milk Chiller / Ageing Machine, Milk Homogenizer, and Ice cream Batch Freezer purchased through DST grant. Computer facility also available in the department.
